The Mike Ackerman Award is an annual affair of the North Suburban Regional Mutual Aid Association. The award will be given to an individual who, through exemplary deed, extends himself/herself beyond the call of duty, or one who has shown dedication to the Fire Service, or to a person who has displayed leadership and/or special service to the Association.

Nomination forms for submitting names of individuals to be considered for the award may be obtained by clicking on the following link. The nomination forms must be used and nominations submitted in any other format will not be considered. If more than one nomination is being submitted, a separate form should be used for each nominee.

In addition to the nomination form, please submit a detailed explanation giving the reasons the nominee should be considered for the award. The detailed explanation should be limited to one typewritten page. Other supportive data should be included such as newspaper clippings, trade journal articles, supportive letters, or any other information important to the selection of the nominee.
